WOYWW 248 Another Stamp Cleaner

It's time to join in the fun, hop over to see Julia at the Stamping Ground, you will get to snoop around some crafty desks...

My desk is a little messy, but in saying that I've got a few things on the go... Just finished making another cleaning brew, this one works well with Staz On ink.... And is doesn't contain alcohol of any sort... Tried the isopropyl alcohol, hmmm! Not good, dries my skin out too much... and no I didn't spray it on my hands.... lol

So I decided to play around with another mix I found on the net, made a few adjustments and it worked.... Sorry about the Christmas stamp, it was the first one I grabbed, as you can see the stamp is quite clean.... Now further testing and mixing is required because I'm not happy with the archival ink test....that's a stubborn little bugger.... It cleans off OK, but leaves a ghosting which is not satisfactory for someone with OCD.....LOL.

Thought it was time to make storage for my markers, you never know it may help me find the colour I want... Also making a colour swatch thingamy jig for Eliza...she saw what I made for myself ..what can I say... Frick and Frack....... Coooeeee!  Bestie where are you?

Hope you all have a great week and happy WOYWW
Hugs,
DeDe

  3. Sorry the alcohol doesn't work for you. I forgot, I wear disposable gloves when I use the stuff. Guess I should have said something. And, sorry, but there is no peeking until I finish the tutorial in about two weeks. Yep, it'll take me that long because that's a BIG box. Thanks for finding something that might work, though. I've never used the archival ink, just Staz-on. Thanks for visiting earlier. Happy WOYWW from #1.

  7. I gave up on the cleaning thing...I used to use stazon ink cleaner and a cleaner from Stampin UP but now just wipe them off with baby wipes. I don't care if they are stained or not...shame I know! Have a great week. Vickie #52

  8. Cleaning stamps is not a favourite pastime and I can see why you don't want to use alcohol. Love the colour chart.

  11. What a lot you have achieved, De De! Like the colour chart - a great idea. How easy it is (at my greatly advanced age) to forget what colours I have or don't have. A colour chart sounds good! I see the designs for your storage solution - will look forward to seeing it materialise.
    Have a great week.

  12. Oh you making one for little me, yippee I have been nagging and dropping hints for ages LOL gotta love me. I know the new hand cream works well but don't want to put those precious hand under duress now do we, we need them for more important things like playing with me. Loads of hugs coming your way and see you soon.

  13. A stamp cleaner for Archival inks..now that would be great! I just tend to wipe with a baby wipe but I would love to be able to get them clean as I like to see the stamp with NO ink on them lol! Sign me up when you have a brew ready!! It is great to have a BFF that loves the things that you do too. Have a wonderful week :-).

  14. I don't bother to get the ink off my stamps I leave it on to condition them ;-) a quick spritz with water and a rub with a cloth, what doesn't come off then is permanent.
    Happy Wednesday,
