WOYWW 236 The Ahaa! Moment

I thought I'd try some crafting, but my desk was buried under a mountain of stuff, so I migrated to the dining room table, within minutes that managed to resemble my desk. I forged ahead....brave aren't I?  Some time ago, I'd seen a technique using masks, distress inks and stamps to create a snow scene. Of course, mine looked nothing like the original... in the bin it went, tried a second and third. By this stage, ready to throw in the towel... I thought for a minute..  Here it comes.... AHAAA!!!!  Of course it's not going to look the same, they've probably made it a hundred times...
I think it turned out OK..

Hung out with Eliza. What a cracker, I walked into her craft room, wouldn't you know those Ikea purchases from our safari had magically multiplied. Hmmm! Not one but two desks, not one set of drawers but three. Of course Eliza stands there with a cheeky grin on her face shrugging her shoulders, trying desperately to act innocent. In your dreams GF.
We were on yet another mission, functional craft room by that night... First dismantle, WOW! I've never seen so many cables, power boards, double adapters. Just between you and the gatepost, I think GF has a fetish for anything associated with electricity....LOL. But we had a fabulous day, laughing, mostly at each other...that's what friends are for...right.
Are you part of the WOYWW blog hop? Don't know what it's about, head over to the Stamping GroundJulia provides links to everyone's blog...What are you waiting for? Check it out.

Thanks for visiting, hope you have a great week. Happy Crafting and WOYWW.

  2. I'm SUPER impressed with this card. It may only be card 3, but it is fantastic. And I'm glad you gals got to hang out and work on Eliza's new craft space. I'm sure she'll give us a tour, too.

Have a great WOYWW from #1.

  4. Sounds like you and your GF had a great day...I'm smiling just from your description. Trying to keep our desks clean, or at least so there is a workable space is always such a challenge. Sometimes it is just better to move to another location...tee hee. Very clever.
Hope you have a great week. Sara j #20

  9. LOL! Both at your expectation that your version would look like the original when you used totally unique to you masks to begin with and at the multiplying Ikea items. Re: your comment...you MUST play with the Gelli pate more. but I warn you, if you do you may get addicted :)

    Happy WOYWW!

  14. Hey GF, yep I have a power problem, you know what they say about sparky's! but honestly those Ikea items have been breeding, I think we need to talk to them about that, honestly another trip there is a must, but I get to use the camera OK. No photos of your behind on the blog this week although I was reaaaaalllllllllllyyyyyyy tempted, I know a bashing was on the cards if I did LOL. You really do need to bring the jeep, honest the ikea stuff is breeding...... We are getting there, even with sore blistered hands and chewed on furniture.

Love that card, excellent creation, see you can do it regardless which surface to play on.

    Hugs beautiful lady

Eliza & Yoda who finally made it to post because you made me do it........

  16. Gosh that's a beautiful card. I think sometimes that the "experts" are so expert at what they do they put us mere mortals off having a go, cause our attempts look nothing like theirs! I wish they wouldn't make it look so easy. Your GF told me she's been drinking cocoa, obviously sitting on her behind waiting for you to come and fix her room up, lol! Hope she offers you some cocoa at least!

    Hugs
